Out is Through: A Workbook of Acceptance and Dealing with Feels gives you the gift of gently accepting the thing that’s really hard…and how to handle all the big feels that can come from radically accepting reality. Whether it’s a career change, end of a relationship, an empty nest, or an event you simply can’t let go of, this workbook with guide you through the process, all on your own time, at your own pace.

You are not alone!

You know the old saying, those that can’t do teach!  Well, I created this workbook to help me radically accept where I was and take responsibility for how I got there.

This workbook is divided into two sections. First, we talk about radical acceptance. As Jackson Avery, on Grey’s Anatomy says, “you can’t fix what you can’t face.” Next, we talk about what do to with all the feels that come with accepting reality. Sometimes it’s anger, sadness, fear, relief, excitement…and everything in between.

What IS radical acceptance

Acceptance doesn’t mean you agree, or can’t do anything about it. It simply means you stop denying reality, and stop unnecessary suffering.

How to get honest and accept reality

You can’t fix what you can’t face. Usually our denial of reality is a defense mechanism. Let’s start to gently explore that.

After acceptance comes the feels

Emotion needs motion. How do give our feels the motion they need so we can move through them?

Let’s make a plan

Using the DBT “ACCEPTS” model, you’ll create a personalized plan on how you will walk through the feels…and find a better way of life.
